FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who should I contact if I have questions regarding the property?  Kimberly Gaudreau is the property manager and happy to assist you with any questions.  She can be reached by 207.323.5343 (cell). 


Can I see the ocean from my room?  Yes, each room has an ocean view. 


Am I able to access the beach?  Yes, there are several public beach access points in Brooklin, including one within walking distance.  Each room has a guide booklet that provides more details regarding visiting the beach.


Does the Inn have a kitchen?  Yes, there is a common kitchen for our guests to use for preparing their own meals, watch TV, play games, or simply gather to socialize with other guests.


What are the amenities in each room?  The rooms are spacious with a private bath, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and sitting area. 


Do the rooms have TVs?  The rooms are not equipped with TVs, but there is a TV in the shared kitchen. 


What about WiFi?  Yes, the Inn does provide complimentary WiFi.


When are check-in and check-out times?  Check-in time is 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.. You can drop off luggage etc. earlier than 3 p.m. or arrive later than 9 p.m.. Please just call or text ahead to let us know if a late check-in is desired. Check-in is "self-check" and unique room code will be provided in advance.  Check-out time is 11 AM. 


Are pets allowed?  We are dog friendly and dogs are welcome in designated rooms, Torrey and Babson on the first level.  There is a $10/night per pet cleaning charge.


How good is phone cell service?  Cellphone coverage in Brooklin is not the most reliable, but most guests have no trouble using their cell phones.  We do offer complimentary WiFi throughout the Inn.


Is there a minimum night stay?  Yes, a two-night minimum stay is required for booking on-line. 


Does the room charges include taxes?   Yes - room rates include Maine lodging tax of 9% - which we know is too high but nonetheless must pass along to our guests.  Sadly, Maine has the third highest tax burden in the U.S. 


Is a deposit required if I make a reservation? Yes, when you book, a deposit in the amount of your first night stay will be charged to your credit card. The balance will be charged upon the date of your arrival. 


What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?  If your travel plans change and you must cancel or change your reservation.  To receive a full refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in. If guests cancel between 29 and 15 days before check-in, they’ll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations that occur 14 days or less before the check-in date will not be refunded any amount.
