Established in 2013, Strong Brewing and Kitchen began as a dream in the minds of the owners after they had fallen in love with the local brewery scene decades before. Today, it has grown to be a local staple, with a mouthwatering menu, smooth homebrewed beers, and a family & dog-friendly atmosphere where children can play while parents relax.

Strong Brewing also hosts bi-weekly music events at their onsite pavilion during the summer, adding to the atmosphere while you enjoy great food and company while relaxing in one of the many outdoor seating options available, including Adirondack chairs and picnic tables.

“Dynamic, Diverse, and Adventurous” is the way that Fogtown Brewing describes itself, and in many ways they live up to it.

Arguably the premier brewery in the region, Fogtown Brewing has a staggeringly long list of quality brewed ales, ciders, seltzers, and more. The range of different flavors they create is also quite impressive, as is their dedication to use Maine produced ingredients whenever possible. 

Fogtown has two locations: Their original in Ellsworth, and a newer addition in Bay Harbor. Both locations regularly hold live music performances as well as other events. During the summer, both locations offer fresh, wood-fired pizzas that pair well with the libations provided. 

The Ellsworth location also serves steamed Colvard sausages with self-served fixings and sports a spacious patio and beer garden that is dog-friendly.

For decades, the Winterport Winery has made a name for itself among the Winterport community and beyond by developing award-winning wines that use locally sourced ingredients as often as possible. The wines and ciders made here span a range of fruity flavors, from light-bodied refreshments to robust libations.

The Winterport Winery is also home to the Penobscot Bay Brewery, a newer addition that is just as well known. The brewery sports a vintage aesthetic on all of their products, yet their selection of drinks are as modern as they come, each made in small batches by hand. 

Visitors to the joint location will be happy to know that they can mix and match flights from either of the sister companies, allowing you to customize your experience to your liking.
